Blakesley Hall

What a fantastic day we all had! It was an absolute pleasure to share the day with Year 4 at Blakesley Hall. We learnt lots of new facts about how the Tudors lived and about their houses. We sketched Tudor artefacts and the outside of Blakesley Hall. We practised writing with a quill pen and were able to create etchings of Tudor figures. Some of us even got to try out a feather bed!

Look at the website to remind yourself about the house and our wonderful school trip.

Equivalent fractions

Watch this and see if it reminds you what an equivalent fraction is and how we can find equivalent fractions.

Remember to look for patterns.

Watch this clip it may help you to remember.

We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the rest. Welcome back and a very happy new year to you and your families.

The Year 4 staff would like to thank you all for the lovely gifts that you so generously gave to us for Christmas, we all really appreciate your kindness.

Hopefully we are all ready to learn lots more this term. We will be starting off with paragraphs and fractions.

Also this week we will be visiting Blakesley Hall to learn how rich and poor people would have lived in Tudor times. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch and no more than £2 to spend in the shop.

Year 4 will be preparing and helping Father David to celebrate Mass in school on Monday 14th January.
