It's the last week of this half term. The time has passed very quickly and you have all worked very hard and deserve a rest.

Don't forget to visit the blog to remind yourself of all the things that we have learnt and to sharpen your skills.

I think that we all need to practise identifying the different types of triangles so try this website and play on line.

Do you remember the story of Joseph? Do you think that there was something special about him? Do you know what happened to him after he went to Egypt? Do you think that he can ever forgive his brothers? Will Jacob ever find out that Joseph was not killed by a wild animal?

Another week of learning.

  • We will continue our investigations in our 'Moving and Growing ' topic.
  • It will be our last week using the film Robin Hood to help us to improve our writing. Last week we learnt how to use prepositions in our setting description. We have also learnt how to use adverbs.
  • In RE  we will continue to learn about the story of Joseph the Dreamer and we will create Abraham's family tree to see how Joseph and Abraham were related. Don't forget to bring in your family tree to help us to understand how a family tree works.
  • In Maths we will be looking at the times tables and doubling numbers.
  • In History we will find about Henry VIII and why he married so many times.
  • Remember to bring back you letter about taking your guitar home, if all letters are returned by Thursday you will be able to take them home this week.

Happy learning.

Sunday, 30 September 2012

Welcome back for another week of learning. It's the first set of Parent's Consultations this week, starting at 3.10 on Wednesday.

We may get outside to do our PE lesson if it does not rain so make sure that you bring suitable, warm kit.

Letters will go home about guitars this week. As soon as they are all returned you will be able to take your guitar home to practise.

Remind yourself of the story of Abraham and Isaac by watching this clip. God asked Abraham to do some very difficult things. Why do you think that Abraham obeyed God?

Another fun-filled week ahead in Year 4. The weather forecast is not good for the beginning of the week so we will probably have our PE lesson in the hall. Don't forget your PE kit.

I hope that Mrs Hinsley's Maths group enjoyed playing the number bonds game with your families.

Maybe you would like to play this game to help you to remember your number bonds.

We are hoping to go to church to celebrate a parish Mass on Friday morning.

Remember the symbols in our maths lesson that mean greater than and less than?
